Is anyone out there listening?

Hi All, or should I say two, since I only have two guests currently on my blog? I set up this Blog in Feb. 09 to make readers aware of my fun, yet thoughtful book about Life's to-do lists and to commiserate about all those things that make us just want to hide under the covers or drink (5) martinis, on the spot! I just came back to my own site this month and realized that I had just about abandoned it and wanted to communicate with you all. So last week, I posted a question on, "What do you like most to do in the city in the summer?" I just invited a great group of people to check out my site, so I hope we can get some dialog here or this website will become my own personal diary and I'll use it as notes for my next book! Again, welcome to my site. I hope to hear from some of you. I won't take it personally if you don't respond, for there are too many Blog's out there these days...as usual, we all take a great concept and beat it to death, until there's no air in it! I hope you have a few moments to check in. My very best-TLR

Summer in the City

It's finally sunny here in Chicago with temperatures in the 90's. The concrete is holding the heat, like a newbown being held by her mother. But, after 8 months of winter, I am not complaining. It's summer in the city with the Chicagofest kicking off this week, the gay parade this weekend, the antiquefest on Randolph, outdoor theatre in the park, Oak Street beach and sales galore all along Michigan Ave. I am one happy lady this month! My book, Life Is One Big To-Do list: A Woman's Life after 40, was released in March. I've had three kick-off book signing parties where David Yurman, Omni Chicago Hotel and Martini Park gratiously hosted the parties for me. People are loving my book, which makes me very happy. They say, "Your stories are my stories." And, "Your book is like talking to my best girfriend over a glass of wine." Nice words. Tell me what you are doing this summer that makes you happy and spread the word about my website. Live, laugh and be thankful for what you have accomplished in your own lives. TLR
